Our Story
In May 2000, Red Rockets was established at Upper Ottawa St., Hamilton, Ontario. At the time, chicken wings were a novelty food for bar patrons of Southern Ontario. We were among the first to recognize the potential of selling them outside the bar scene. And in doing so, we have created balanced meals that everyone can enjoy.
We want to thank our neighbours in Buffalo, NY where chicken wings were first enjoyed. During those days, they were being offered for as little as 10¢ each to entice pub-goers to come in. That’s practically like giving them away.
A lot has happened since then. Now, chicken wings can be found in every bar, restaurant, and takeout menu. There are even celebrations for them called Wing Festival throughout Ontario. So, it’s safe to say that they are here to stay.
